Garmin GPS-V Handlebar Mount:
|
|

|
|
Review: |
This is the second of three
reviews in a series of GPS Handlebar mounts. The Garmin GPS V
mapping GPS is one of the top of the line GPS's on the market
today. It is a very versatile unit that can be used in a horizontal
and vertical method. With owning this GPS we went in search of
a handlebar mount for our unit. Our searches lead us to the
GPS manufacturer, Garmin. The unit is a bit on the pricey side
at a retail cost of $25.44 plus shipping. We placed our order.
Upon receiving our unit we
set upon mounting it to our Test Quad. Mounting is really
easy. Place the foam backing around the handlebar and clamp
the mount to the bars with two small Phillips screws. That is
it. we did however have to shave a few millimeters off the
mount in order for it to fit between the handlebars and the
Brake reservoir on our Polaris Sportsman 500.

Conclusion:
|
We like the idea of mounting
our GPS unit to our quad. As with many accessories, the
Garmin is a bit over priced from the manufacturer. We
did not however check around to price compare to hard. we are
sure that one can be obtained for less than the $25.44 price
tag.
